What's On in Cornwall during September

5th September - World Bellyboarding Championships. A very simple, back-to-basics comp – no wetsuits, no leashes and no swim fins. A bit of wood and a swimsuit is all you need at Chapel Porth, St Agnes.
11th to 25th September - St Ives September Festival. Arts festival including music, theatre, poetry, literature and visual arts.
16th September - Polo on the Beach. The fourth edition of Veuve Clicquot Polo on the Beach will see two teams play an exhibition match of arena polo - a fast-paced and exciting form of the sport - on the evening of Thursday 16th September.
18th September - Shoreline Quadrathon. The event starts and finishes in Bude with athletes complete a course comprised of four separate disciplines.
18th to 26th September - South East Cornwall Walking Festival. Celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year, the walking festival is extended to take in two weekends, a beer festival and steam trains on the Looe valley line for the first time in 50 years.
24th & 25th September - Blue Chip Zap Cat Powerboat Grand Prix Championships. Up to 16 heats of racing will take place at Fistral Beach culminating in two divisional finals each day. Each daily round will earn the competitors vital points towards the prestigious National Championships
2nd & 3rd October - Boscastle Food, Arts & Crafts Festival. The event, born out of a sense of community regeneration following the flood of 2004, has now become firmly established on the festival scene and is arguably the biggest and best of its kind to be held in Cornwall.
